This is another good topic from the list of questions that I’ve been getting concerning the various concerns practitioners have of the Craft. My opinion on the subject of anyone not being able to say “no” to someone who wants you to perform a “service” (paid or unpaid) that you do not want to do, is to develop a code of ethics or guideline rules for people to follow stating clearly what you will and will no do for them. This way it prevents people from trying to use you nor as you to do things you do not agree with.
Oooh, video response coming for this comment, ‘cuz these are REALLY good questions for all Tarot Readers to consider. Thanks for asking!!
question: if someone were to ask you to read a person who wasn’t there and didn’t know they were being read, like suppose someone wanted you to read their spouse, would you?
i don’t like health questions either, i make it clear divination is no substitute for medical help, but i have done them and might again if the question is phrased in a way i feel comfortable with. same with legal issues.
You are most welcome. Good luck!
thanks so much for this video. and you are right, i should have been able to say no, regardless of whether I can do a spell, or read the tarot cards, i should be able to say no and that should be the end of it. However a code of ethics is a very good idea in the sense that it removes the guilt you feel when you have to resist requests, especially if you are not getting paid and it is a friend asking you. thank you so much for the answer!
